Meet the Owners of Charlotte’s Newest Selfie Museum
Charlotte’s Best Selfie Museum, Picture Project CLT, will open Summer 2021 in Charlotte, NC. Located just minutes east of Uptown Charlotte, the selfie museum brings a fresh perspective for social media and photography enthusiasts, families and friends, content creators, and more!
We wanted to introduce the owners of Picture Project CLT and share a little “behind of scenes” of how Picture Project CLT came about.
Sharetha is actually a professional photographer in the Charlotte area. She is best known for her editorial photography style for maternity, children, and family portraits.
Melissa is actually a professional event designer in the Charlotte area. She is best known for her luxurious designs and elegant spin on décor. Together, they make a powerhouse team with experience in photography and design, and bringing an amazing experience to clients.
Not only that, but they have been best friends (LITERALLY) since Kindergarten. Yes, Sharetha and Melissa have pretty much grown up together. And see those laughs? That was the day the lease was signed on the new studio space.
Both Melissa and Sharetha’s experience in the industry allow for endless creativity at Picture Project CLT. Not only are the selfie booths and walls exquisitely designed (with no details left behind!), but the selfie studio’s lighting is supreme so that the best quality photos can be taken.
The Why
The decision to open a selfie museum in Charlotte didn’t actually come about until a few months of discussing the idea. One day, after working on an elaborate photography set for a client, the two thought that it would be great if other people could use the set as well (instead of it being used just once) since so much time and effort was put into designing and installing the set. And that was the day they finalized the decision to open a selfie studio.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more behind the scenes of the Picture Project CLT – Charlotte Selfie Studio and bringing you the work and stories of some of the artists that contributed to the Picture Project CLT space. We can’t wait for you to meet them!
